Name:
Andreas Gaida

Year of Birth: 1975

City: Cologne

Country:
Germany

Position in the Team: Factory Driver

History:
Andreas is a simracer since 1989 when he started his career with games like test drive series 1-3 and StuntCarRacing followed by Grand Prix 1 and several years later also Grand Prix 2. So he played most of the important games of the early years of simracing-history. When in 1998 Grand Prix Legends was released Andreas was already 2 years racing with a Wheel and Pedalset and the beloved hobby became a seriously practiced sport. Due to his poor hardware-equipment Andreas first participated in Grand Prix Legends Offline-leagues and at the same time he made his first steps in online-racing on open servers with the so called VROC-Community. Andreas started his online-career with Nascar Racing 4 when he joined the most important german online-racing league in 2001.

In the following years Andreas played Nascar Racing 4, Nascar Racing 2002 and Nascar Racing 2003 series (including all their Mods like TransAM and GTP)in several leagues. He took part in the German Online-Racing Championship "DOM" and also in the German Road Racing League where he was one of the championship-contenders in the first two years. In the consequence of a few missed races, Andreas finished the championship in 2002 and 2003 in 3rd and 4th position having achieved several Pole Positions, Racewins and Podium-Finishes.

In the later years Andreas of course also played the ISI-based Racing Simulations as GTR, GT Legends and rFactor. Here a 3rd position in the overall standings of the 2005 VR Porsche Cup is worth to be mentioned. Also Andreas takes part in the running 2nd Season of the VR Classic Masters Championship (based on GTL) where Andreas could already achieve a couple of racewins and actually is in the lead of the championship-table at the moment.

Name:
Sascha Mönig

Year of Birth: 1973

City: Müllenbach

Country: Germany

Position in the Team: Factory Driver

History:
Sascha grew up at the mother of all race tracks, the Nürburgring Nordschleife. In his younger years he went to all kind of places, to return to his homegrounds again in 2004.

Racing games always fascinated Sascha. His first game was PitStop (C64), but soon he moved on to Grand Prix 2 and from there towards Colin McRae on the PS1, to end up with the “real” simulations like Grand Prix Legends, which he started with in 1999.

In his Grand Prix Legends time Sascha won various events in German Top Leagues, and finished important races on the podium.

After Grand Prix Legends Sascha drove GTR for a while, and from there he moved towards GT Legends which he is still driving today. His total favourite simulation is Richard Burns Rally, where he is known as an absolute ace driver.

In the near future he will also be driving rFactor, now that the F1 1979 mod has been released. To Sascha this mod is like a second Grand Prix Legends.

Name: Ralph Weiland

Year of Birth: 1959

City: Bendorf

Country: Germany

Position in the Team: Factory Driver

History:
Eversince Ralph visited the German Grand Prix in 1967, he is totally addicted to motorsports. There was no way not to drive Grand Prix Legends as a result. Ralph couldn't wait to see Grand Prix Legends released, and when Papyrus finally released the game back in 1998, Ralph was one of the first proud owners of the legendary simulation. This was also the official beginning of his simracing career. In the first six months Ralph only drove the Nordschleife, and practised several hours a day, untill he ended up at the Top Ten list of the world ranking of that time. The man behind that ranking, Dirk Wagner, got Ralph in touch with the first online racing, a scene that wasn't exactly big yet. Some of these old rats still are active in simracing, for instance Andy Wilke, who currently drives for Team Redline, one of our team's respected rivals.

Ralph also was invited to drive in the Championsleague 99, an event that only rings some bell at the real insiders in this scene nowadays. This event was only for the ultimate top drivers world wide. People like Greger Huttu, Wolfgang Woeger, and the like. In the next edition of the Championsleague, the Championsleague 2000, Ralp actually managed to reach the podium at the Nürburgring Nordschleife, finishing third behind Huttu and Burkhardt.

In 2002 Ralph changed from Grand Prix Legends to the NASCAR simulations (2002, later 2003) and managed to win both the 2003 Driver's Championship and Team Championship in Germany's top league called GRRL.

Nowadays Ralph is driving ISI engined simulations like GTR(2)/GT Legends or rFactor (F1 1979 mod).

Name: Tim Stelten

Year of Birth: 1986

City: Sittard

Country: Netherlands

Email: stelten@vp-parts.de

Position in the Team: Management

History:
Grand Prix 2 was Tim's first computer racing game. However the real serious racing started in 1998 with Grand Prix Legends. Tim played Grand Prix Legends for about 3 years offline, and went online in 2001. Nils Ruwish from the GPLEA made Tim aware of the online racing scene. In 2002 Tim found his way to Race Sim Central, where he found his second home. Eversince his first visit to Race Sim Central he became addicted to the community side of simracing, next to the actual driving. In the recent years Tim was an active part of the RSC Administration and he took this position very serious, which limited his time for actual driving. Still he is experienced with almost every simulation out there.

Although Grand Prix Legends was the main simulation for Tim for years, he also drove Live For Speed, Nascar 2002, Nascar 2003 Season & mods, GTR, GT Legends, GTR2, rFactor and nKpro.

Tim noticed that he never would become one of the world's ultimate top drivers, as he did not have the time to practise day and night, or the talent required to be fast at any time without practise. Therefore he focused on organisational tasks. Next to the RSC Administration, he was strongly involved in Driver's Emporium, where one of his tasks was managing the official racing team. After Driver's Emporium was bought by iRacing.com Motorsports Simulations, Tim founded RSC Motorsports, a team with absolute top drivers like the dE team had before.

This team was closed in 2006.

2006 was also the year Tim became part of Virtual Performance Parts. Next to his position as Global Alliances Manager inside the company, he was asked to take care of the organisation and management of the Werksteam.

After Tim started working for VPP he decided to retire from his administrative position at Race Sim Central, as he just could not find the time anymore to be active for RSC next to his education and his work at the company here.
